virtualenvwrapper dies while mkproject & mkvirtualenv

Hi I've installed pip using easy_install on my mac and later installed virtualenv and virtualenvwrapper both successfully. 

wrapper doesn't work at all and when I invoke it by mkproject or mkvirtualenv it go on till this line:

Setting project for test to $PROJECT_HOME/test

and from here it takes a long time with no output or progress. Any idea on how can I fix this?
