I have now pared my 'old' .htaccess method for CGI to this:
(code)
AcceptPathInfo On
AddHandler fcgid-script .fcgi
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.fcgi/$1 [L,QSA]
(/code)
Note that Apache does not find index.fcgi unless
AcceptPathInfo On
is enabled.
But, still the code is printed instead of executed.
permissions for index.fcgi = 755
