I realised my mistake, mixing anaconda with vanilla ubuntu was not a good mix and then I removed the /tmp line.

        'USER': 'acpype_mysql',

        'PASSWORD': '_bla_bla_',

        'HOST': 'localhost',

        'PORT': '',

        'HOST': '/tmp/mysql.sock',

    }

}
