How current is this book? Intro says it may not be. It seems to be
very well-written, but I don't want to be reading stuff that is too old.
I find more recent reference info, as well as good overviews, guides,
etc. at:
https://docs.djangoproject.com/

I haven't worked through the RoR tutorial you referenced, but completing http://www.djangobook.com/en/2.0/index.html gave me all of the tools necessary to get projects up and running.

Hello,
I've been through several tutorials and looked around quite a bit and haven't really found a solid tutorial that goes through creating a web app in detail that is on par with the Ruby on Rails Tutorial by Michael Hartl.
Will you please help a noobie like me and describe some tutorials for Django. Thank you very much in advance.--
