Re: Could not connect postgresql database

i am taking error below:

psql: could not connect to server: No such file or directory
Is the server running locally and accepting
connections on Unix domain socket "/var/run/postgresql/.s.PGSQL.
5432"?

but there is no such a .s.PGSQL.5432 file. I really dont understand
what is going on
