Problems with "Hello World" Debian Wheezy Django 1.6.5

I'm having issues getting the dev server to work. After I installed Django, and 

$ python -c "import django; prindjango.get_version())"

returns 1.6.5

Then:

$ python manage.py runserver

returns: 

Validating models...
0 errors found
August 19, 2014 - 02:19:03
Django version 1.6.5, using settings 'mysite.settings'
Starting development server at http://127.0.0.1:8000/
Quit the server with CONTROL-C.

but 127.0.0.1:8000 shows no data in Chrome.
