Configure the following setting in your setting.py
STATIC_ROOT = os.path.join(BASE_DIR,"static_files") STATIC_URL = '/static/' STATICFILES_DIRS = ( os.path.join(BASE_DIR, "static"), )
load staticfiles tag to template
{% load staticfiles %}
and then use in src attribute of img HTML tag as you did.
