I've forwarded your info to a few clients of mine, to try and help spread the word.
Might also be worth looking for Python/Django on LinkedIn - and contacting people directly.

Dear Django people,
I'm looking for some work experience to help me develop my Django
skills.
I'm available 2 days a week (generally Monday and Wednesday) between
10am and 5pm GMT for the next few months.
I've got a graduate Systems Engineering qualification and 1.5 years
ANSI C experience in a commercial development environment, though this
was some time ago. I've been studying Django and Python on my own
since the beginning of 2011 and have (I believe) a solid beginners
knowledge which I'm looking to build on. I also have a range of
transferable business skills.
I would work to support your project for free in return for a
sufficient level of coaching and skills development (which we could
discuss). I would commit for a period of 2 months initially. My
objective is to improve my web development skills, with a particular
emphasis on Django and Python.
My preference is to be office based as I think that this would be most
conducive to my learning. I am in the London area, Hackney
specifically. However I would also consider working remotely.
If you're interested, or have some suggestions about how I might get a
good work experience opportunity, please do get in touch. You can
contact me either via my personal email (my preference -
underwoodjon@gmail.com) or via this group.
Many thanks in advance.
Jon
