Re: Not able to create an simple application using DB (syncdb error)

Not all that useful unless you un-hide the file extensions.

I'm guessing that there are manage.py scripts in both the upper and lower blog1 directories.  For recent Djangos, manage.py should only be in the upper directory. The lower directory contains settings.py, urls.py, wsgo/[u amd __init__.py.

I see that you are in the lower directory when you try to run it, which is also wrong.  cd up a level and try again.

Are you working from a book written for an older version of Django, or are you trying to port an project written for an older version to a modern Django?  I can't see how you arrive at the directory contents that you have.
